What Is Whole-Quality?

 

Whole Quality is a way to understand the quality of an object as a whole.

 

Anything whose quality we want to understand can be named a Quality Object — from a simple purchase or contract to something much more complex.

 

Whole Quality makes quality visible through the essential conditions and relationships that shape it — including the Quality Object’s Boundaries, Interfaces, Intended Functions and Results, Quality Factors, Quality Indicators, Quality Outcome Criteria, Evidence, Quality State, and Quality Claims.

 

Just as an X-ray can reveal what is hidden inside a body or object, Whole Quality helps reveal the conditions, relationships, and evidence that shape its quality.

 

It can be applied to many different kinds of Quality Objects — including products, contracts, support services, organizations, management systems, infrastructure systems, regulatory systems, health states, and others whose quality needs to be understood.

 

The purpose is to make quality visible, understandable, and supported by evidence.

Whole-Quality Institute (WQI) is the umbrella platform.
AMSI and IQI are applied initiatives under WQI.
AMSI focuses on the quality of personal and social support services.
IQI focuses on energy infrastructure quality.
WQI provides the common method behind both.
